SIMON ROBINSON

SIMON ROBINSON

Simon started his journey into Musical Theatre at the age of 17. After working closely under the guidance of Kathy Foster, Simon auditioned for all the major Musical Theatre academies in London. At the age of 20 he gained a full scholarship at the world renowned Urdang Academy in London’s West End where he studied for three years. Simon was lucky enough to graduate early in his third year after he was offered his first professional job as a lead vocalist on the world tour for the ‘12 Tenors’.

Simon went onto work consistently for the next 17 years in theatres all across the world; from London, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa, Dubai, Norway, Australia, the United States and Monte Carlo to name a few. He has also been the lead vocalist sailing across the planet on some of the worlds biggest cruise ships.

Simon always had a passion for teaching, taking up his first teaching job whilst still at college. For two years he helped a well established Youth Ballet Academy in Wimbledon set up a brand new Musical Theatre department. Within 12 months, Simon had taken his classes into London’s West End to perform in a charity performance at Her Majesty’s Theatre. Simon always knew he would one day open his own academy so that he could pass on his passion, knowledge and experience to the next generation of performers.

Simon is so excited at what the future has in store for all those who become part of the Made for Stage family.
