General Musical Theatre Casts
When you become part of one of our general Musical Theatre casts this is where you will learn the art of singing, acting and dancing.
Each cast will work on a different Musical Theatre number every term and will include learning the back story, songs, characters and choreography.
In these classes each performer will gain knowledge of a wide range of musicals; from the classics, contemporary and jukebox musicals.
Children will get the opportunity to perform on stage in one of our Musical showcase and public events.

Acting Through Song/Solo Work
Acting through song is a lesson like no other. This is your chance to work 1-2-1 with Simon on solo/duet material. You will be given a choice of songs to choose from and after you’ve decided your song choice, you will then work on that song in all aspects; from beginning to end. During each lesson, each cast member will get time on the floor working with Simon 1-2-1 & working peer to peer.
Cast members are expected to work on their songs at home, in between their lessons. All solos/duets will be looked at by Simon as he will look at the possibility for these solos/duets to be added into shows/productions throughout the year.
Places are very limited. This is so that each person gets the correct time to be able to develop into a strong and confident soloist.

Touring/Show Cast *Formally Production Cast*
The biggest change we are making at the academy is that our production cast, which has been running for the last two years will no longer exist. In its place we will be creating what we are calling our new touring cast.
We have already secured the opportunity to perform at the Manchester Palace Theatre again as well as performing at the Blackpool Winter Gardens, Birmingham’s IMC Centre, Liverpool’s Empire Theatre and most excitingly down in London’s Westend.
For each individual show, we as a creative team will be hand picking cast members who we believe deserve the opportunity to be part of these casts.
This means that every lesson now becomes an audition for us and places for the touring cast will be open for all our junior, young senior, senior and musical casts.
We will constantly be looking for cast members who bring the three A’s we require to the table - Ability, Attitude and Attendance.
We know that nobody else in the local area offers the kinds of incredible opportunities to children like we do. So we’ve decided that instead of it being the same cast from September, we now want to open up this cast to the whole academy.
Each show will differ in size and age range but the cast we be handpicked by us and will change for each show, so it isn’t a case of once the first cast has been chosen no one else will get a chance - this way we can give more cast members these opportunities!
The way we will cast these shows will be to email the parents of cast members we would like to invite to become part of our touring cast.
All dates, times, costs and information about the show their child has been chosen to perform at will be sent out directly. You don’t need to accept the place but if you do, you are required to be in attendance for all rehearsals/extra rehearsals that are required.
Please note, to be offered a place in our touring cast, you will need to be part of one of the lessons/casts running at the academy.
